Balnagown Estates offer a selection of superb luxury lodges, cottages and houses to let, with each being located within one of three beautiful estates in the Northern Scottish Highlands. The accommodation is ideally located for holidays in the Scottish Highlands and activities such as walking, golf, fishing, exploring, bird watching and nature, or of course just for a truly relaxing break. Balnagown Estates is comprised of three separate estates – Balnagown Estate itself, Invercassley Estate and Duchally Estate.
Balnagown Estates is comprised of three separate estates – Balnagown Estate itself, Invercassley Estate and Duchally Estate. There are a total of eight properties available to let and each has its own special appeal, charm and character, though a common factor with each is the high quality of the décor and the very high standard to which they are furnished.
Balnagown Estate is just a forty five minute drive north of Inverness and close to the picturesque town of Tain. The estate has in its grounds Balnagown Castle, which has been transformed over the last 30 years from a previous ruin to a stunning residence by the estate’s owner, Mr Mohamed Al Fayed.
Situated between the lowland coastal expanses of Balnagown Estate and the more rugged wilderness of Duchally Estate to the north, Invercassley has a landscape of wooded glens and heather moorland, with the beautiful River Oykel lowing close to its southern boundary and the River Cassley to its eastern boundary.
Duchally Estate is the most northerly of Balnagown’s estates and also the most rugged and remote. There is just one property on the estate, Duchally Lodge, an ideal Highland property for anyone wanting to escape everyday life and spend time in a remote and stunning setting, yet still in a cosy property which has been furnished to a high standard.
The Balnagown philosophy is built around providing very high quality properties and supporting this with outstanding levels of personal customer service. An example of this is that a member of the estate staff personally meets all guests on arrival to welcome them, and ensure they have everything they need for a pleasant and memorable stay.
The three estates are quite different in their landscape and character, but all provide a wealth of activities for our guests, ranging from fishing, stalking, bird watching, walking, archery, cycling, clay pigeon shooting, with an excellent sports hall for guests staying at any of the five properties on the Balnagown Estate. And of course, in driving distance of all the estates there are many other places to visit and pursuits to enjoy.
