The walks at Balnagown Estate are relaxed and relatively easy, with the beautiful undulating woodland landscape offering both short and longer walks. All the properties at Balnagown are ideal bases for a walking holiday, as the estate provides easy access to the Northern Highlands and across to the west coast.
Invercassley Estate has some good tracks for walking, though it’s Duchally Estate which will most appeal to the serious walker. From Duchally Lodge there are a number of options for long and strenuous walks including one which leads to Ben More Assynt, the highest Munro in Sutherland. Ordnance Survey Landranger maps 15 and 16 cover this remote and spectacular area.
The two properties at Invercassley are ideal bases for a serious walking holiday, and fairl close to the single track road which leads to Duchally Lodge – an ideal place to leave the car and to set off into the hills towards Ben More Assynt.
Not only does Duchally Estate offer outstanding walks (outside of the stalking season – see dates below), but its remoteness also ensures a level of solitude not always found in the Highlands.
Plenty of relatively easy walks on the estate, with all the properties providing an ideal base for the more serious walker with easy access to the Northern Highlands.
Some good and rugged tracks on the estate, with all the properties being relatively close to Duchally Estate which has outstanding walks, plus access to all of the Northern Highlands.
A fantastic estate for the walker outside of the stalking season, with Duchally Lodge being a perfect base for anyone who also wants real peace and solitude.
Please be aware that the deer shooting season is 1st July to 20th October for Stags and 21st October to 15th February for Hinds.
